Working in partnership with Ingeus, Athena is looking for an Accommodation Coordinator to support the delivery of a recently won GMCA funded project that looks to identify sustainable accommodation for service users who have come through the gate and left prison.
Manchester Athena is a partnership of Greater Manchester social housing providers that looks to break down barriers to employment for tenants and customers. Established in 2013, Athena works together to deliver opportunities across Greater Manchester. Athena is pursuing a growth strategy to maximise its impact by creating new projects and partnerships with prime contractors so it’s an exciting time to join.
As part of Greater Manchester devolution deal, Ministry of Justice contracts have been devolved down to the combined authority. Working in partnership with Ingeus, Athena is looking for an Accommodation Coordinator to support the delivery of a recently won GMCA funded project that looks to identify sustainable accommodation for service users who have come through the gate and left prison.
The post will require you to foster relationships between Ingeus keyworkers and Housing teams across Greater Manchester to help identify suitable accommodation for ex-offenders. To help strengthen relationships, you will work flexibility at partners offices and HMP sites across Greater Manchester. You will be working closely with prison services, probations teams, private & social sector landlords, statutory and voluntary agencies. You will keep up to date and provide information on employability programmes that look to remove barriers helping service users move into work aiding in the reduction of reoffending. You will also lead on the creation of a lived experience panel to help with the continuous development of the service. This will be a dynamic service. We recognise housing solutions are not the same for everyone. Problem solving and working holistically with this client group is a requirement in this exciting role.
You should have a good understanding of different housing options and the different social landlords operating in the 10 local authorities across Greater Manchester. A people focused person, you will be passionate about good customer service and take pride in delivering an excellent service. You need to be able to work proactively, be highly motivated, ambitious, and ready for a new challenge.
